Whau Studios is currently running classes during the red light setting. If government regulations change, we may be required to pause or cancel our classes. We will endeavour to reschedule courses that have been cancelled due to lockdowns. Refunds will be given if this is not possible, however a $30 administration fee will be charged. We do not offer refunds (full or partial) or course transfers for any missed classes due to self-isolation.

Courses run subject to minimum enrolment numbers being met. If we do not have sufficient students to run a course, we will endeavour to give you as much notice as possible and will book you into the next available course.

To confirm your booking, full payment is required at least 5 working days prior to class commencement.

If you wish to cancel your enrolment, we require 5 working days' notice prior to class commencement in order for you to receive a refund. A $30 administration fee will be charged if you cancel your enrolment. If we do not receive sufficient notice, you will not be eligible for a refund. Payment will be refunded in full if Whau Studios cancel the course (except due to cancellations as a result of Covid-19 lockdowns).

The participant will indemnify Whau Studios, its employees or agents against all claims, demands, losses, damages, costs and expenses arising from the participant's use or hire of the facility.

If you are unable to attend a class due to illness, self-isolation or personal reasons, you will not be entitled to a refund for classes missed or to transfer to another class to make up your missed class.

It is crucial that you attend the first class of your course as this is when we provide an introduction to our workshop tools and equipment, as well as a comprehensive explanation and demonstration of the basic jewellery making techniques that you will be using during your course. If you are not able to attend the first class, we require that you enrol in a private 3 hour class at another time to catch up on what you have missed.

In the event of staff sickness, we will endeavour to prevent class cancellation and to instead provide a substitute tutor. If we are unable to do this, the class may be postponed at very short notice and a replacement class rescheduled. Should this issue arise, we will make every effort to contact class participants as soon as possible.

No courses will be scheduled on a public holiday weekend. If a class falls on a public holiday, the course will extend over a longer period of time to allow for this. Advertised course dates take into account any possible missed classes due to public holidays.

Please pay special attention to health and safety issues in the studio. You will be introduced to these during demonstrations and it is your responsibility to take note and observe them. Students must be 18 years or older to enrol in our classes.
